Activity

    1. Research the significant places from Ancient Greek times. Complete the An overview of Ancient Greece worksheet.
    2. In Ancient Greek times, the city of Athens was the most important of the Greek city-states. Named after Athena, the goddess of wisdom, it is often considered to be the birthplace of Western civilisation. Read the materials on Ancient Athens found in the resource pack. Use it to construct the front page of a newspaper that includes news, sport, entertainment and gossip about the city.
    3. Research a famous Ancient Greek, construct a biographical profile highlighting their life and achievements. You can use the biography articles from the resource pack or find your own, using Britannica School’s Explore Biographies tool.
