World Book Day Resources for New Zealand Libraries

February 20, 2020

Book lovers rise! The time has come to raise a toast to everything literary.

A UNESCO initiative, World Book and Copyright Day is an annual celebration of not just the books we love, but also the authors and illustrators who created them. For libraries, the day is a great opportunity to further community outreach, promote the importance of copyright and champion the irreplaceable role that books and reading play in building a creative and connected society.

There are all kinds of exciting ways you can engage your patrons on World Book Day. To help you get started, we have put together a Britannica Library learning toolkit with digital and printable resources to help your younger readers learn all about books and their authors.
