‘Teaching with Britannica School’ is a series of lesson plans that aim to help students explore impactful topics using content and tools from Britannica School.

Within each lesson plan teachers will find learning outcomes, step by step procedures, connections and links to learning resources from Britannica School, as well as worksheets and assessments.

This lesson will teach students about the responsible stewardship of our oceans and rivers by analysing the impacts of fishing on marine life. It supports UN Sustainable Development Goal 14: Life Below Water, which aims to conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development.

A region-specific version of the lesson plan is available for educators in Australia, New Zealand and Asia.
