Inventors & Their Inventions through Visual Texts

Students will:

• Learn about how technological developments changed people’s lives at home, and the ways they worked, travelled and communicated (AC9HS2K02).
• Analyse how people in design and technologies occupations consider ethical and sustainability factors to design and produce products, services and environments (AC9TDE8K01).
• Analyse the impact of innovation, enterprise and emerging technologies on designed solutions for global preferred futures (AC9TDE10K02).

Students can:

• Evaluate primary and secondary sources to determine origin, purpose and perspectives (AC9HS5S04).
• Investigate ways that visual conventions, visual arts processes and materials are manipulated to represent ideas, perspectives and/or meaning in artworks created across cultures, times, places and/or other contexts (AC9AVA8E01).
• Develop questions to investigate people, events, developments, places and systems (AC9HS6S01).
